Klezmer songs range from deeply plaintive to humorous energetically joyful. Jewish immigrants brought Klezmer music to America in the late 1800's where, through musicians as Benny Goodman, it influenced the early stages of jazz and swing. Today, klezmer is performed by Jews and non-Jews alike and is being taken in new directions by musicians all over the world.
Hailing from Boston, Khevre represents one of the top bands in the newest wave of Klezmer and Jewish music. Musical vocabulary is what gives them a unique and original sound. While all of the musicians in the ensemble have an incredible knowledge of music spanning the globe, it is how they craft those styles, of jazz, Latin, middle eastern, American, and of course, European music together, that produce something special and exceptional.

The Brockton Symphony Orchestra will present a marvelous medley of the endearing themes from the box office smash, Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone.
