The BrSO Whitman Premiere

Whitman Town Hall Auditorium, Whitman MA

Hosted by the Whitman Cultural Council, the BrSO performs for the first time in the town of Whitman, featuring chamber music with Blue Shades Clarinets and the Bailey Street Brass in an hour-long, FREE concert. Join us virtually or in-person for an exciting afternoon starring the upbeat style of the woodwind and brass families.

Holiday Chamber Pops

This December, the BrSO premieres a new holiday format - our FREE one-hour Holiday Chamber Concert. Revel in holiday tunes and joyous music from around the world, with diverse instruments and musical colors! Featuring four BrSO Chamber Ensembles: Bailey Street Brass, Blue Shades Clarinet Ensemble, Duo Anhelante (Venezuelan holiday music duo), and the Sonic Triplet mixed trio with violin, oboe, and bassoon!

Work around your busy schedule ~ Choose to attend either the 2:00pm concert or the 4:00pm concert. Donations gratefully accepted at the door.

Chamber Music for the New Year

Meet more of our seasoned orchestral players in this intimate setting of delightful small ensemble works, where each instrument provides a unique color and sound, creating a kaleidoscope of constantly changing colors and textures.

We have initiated our two-year Music Director Search. Our spring concerts will be conducted by two of the finalists, as will our 2022-23 concerts.

The Brockton Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to offer their first full-orchestra concert since March 2020, conducted by Dr. Donald J. Running, Chairperson of Music and Director of Bands at Bridgewater State University. This diverse concert program of American favorites features pianist Robert Finley performing Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, alongside Adolphus Hailstork's Three Spirituals, symphonic works by Leonard Bernstein, and more. This concert will be one hour long with no intermission.

Adam Kerry Boyles conducts a romantic full-length season finale, featuring our 2019 Vasconcellos Youth Competition co-winner, Meihui An, performing the dramatic Piano Concerto in A minor by Edvard Grieg. We also present the vivid Faust Overture by composer Emilie Mayer and Schumann's passionate Symphony No. 4 in D minor.
